Why You Should Apply - TOP 10!

Just in case you need convincing... Written by a former teacher.

10. It's Asia

Chinese New Year!
Stinky Tofu, Rice, and Asian Dumplings. Mango Ice. Night Markets. Dao Temples, Buddhist Temples. The culture...it just doesn't get old. (Well, maybe literally)

9.  It's Taiwan

An Island filled with Asians who enjoy life and love to share it with others.  You won't find a more hospitable country!
An island in the Pacific!? Seriously, life is good.

8. Travel

So, it really is Asia.  This means getting to other Asian countries costs as much as a plane ticket to Texas...or California...or New York.

 7. Adventure

But, you don't really have to leave Taiwan to find some amazing things to do.  Enjoy the mountains, the rivers, the springs.  Visit Taroko Gorge (EVERY WEEKEND except after an earthquake)! Earthquakes are an adventure! And so are Typhoons!
Travel to Green Island - snorkel or scuba dive.
You just don't know until you get here.

6. Adventure

Did I mention Adventure?  Maybe if I sneakily called it something else like "EPICNESS" (but, imagine Morgan Freeman saying it). Leave no pebble left unturned. But you will because there is no end to the amazing things you can do here.

4. Your front yard is a playground!
5. EPICNESS

Did I mention White-water rafting?  Camping?  Surfing? Biking?
Really, just tell the young women you want to go on all their activities and you'll experience epicness.

3. Wake up to the sounds of sweet children laughing.

Remember Neverland? Second star to the right and straight on until morning? Swings, slides and sea-saws. Feel free to act like a kid all you want.  Working with kids is a great reminder that we don't have to grow up!

Unless you want to catch the sunrise (which is also incredible - coming up over the ocean), children start arriving at 7:00 a.m.  Start your morning off right with some cheery little giggles echoing through the playground below your bedroom window.

2. People. Friends. Family.

The Taiwanese people will treat you like royalty.  You'll be amazed at their ability to love, serve, and treat everyone with kindness.

If you thought the decision to come to Taiwan was hard...try leaving.

1. It's your life. But, do something awesome!

Ultimately, you should decide.  And of course it might not be right for everyone.

But, I don't think you'll regret TEACHING some of the greatest kids in Taiwan.
